It seems like the staff at this library is trying to push their ideological agenda onto little children. We visited the toddler section where our two-year-old found big board books with topics about:
-- Drag queens having picnics with kids
-- Two dads
-- Overcoming pervasive r@cism as a minority
-- Teaching toddlers about body parts, including the vulv@
-- Many other themes and concepts that would be more suited for intersectional feminism classes at colleges, not for toddlers
It wasn't just that the library had all these books about progressive activism, but that they were all featured prominently and made up a strong majority of the books there.
This is completely inappropriate and a travesty what this library has become. When parents complain about w0ke indoctrination, this is the definition of that.
Stay away from our kids. We won't be bringing them back.
A really nice facility, plenty of parking, well-designed and divided sections. There's a genealogy research section here with lots of book resources, county records and reserved computers upstairs. Kids section is great and there's also Connor's Cove for shows. Upstairs away from the kids section is quiet.
I have to give a 5 star rating for the overall library! ALL the staff are AMAZING! The atmosphere is so uplifting for kids and parents. They go above and beyond creating take home projects for the children. They have an annual Summer reading program to encourage young readers to increase their reading development. My Son and I LOVE it! I can't wait to experience the theater!πππππππ
This library is close to the car dealerships on memorial and I had a couple of hours to kill. Nice atmosphere, enough books on the shelves to keep busy. Safe neighborhood to walk around and sidewalks to the dealership.
Thereβs tons of tables on the second floor where you can lay your books and computer kit if youβre in need of space to study or work. The employees are very nice and this location is much quieter than some of the other oneβs (like the downtown location). They also had some books on sale here for only $1 which which was nice. Also, they have hundreds of DVDs you can rent if you have a library card. This is definitely one of my favorite TCCL locations in town, I love the big windows on the second floor.
No complaints about Hardesty. Whether it's to vote early, find & check out books, or listen to a story, it's always a smooth transition. Never crowded and all the children I've seen (including my own) enjoy the play area.
I love the library! You can always find something to get into here. Had a very nice librarian get my whole family resigned up for library cards! One of the best libraries in Tulsa for sure!
Such a gorgeous library tucked away so you wouldn't even know unless you searched. So clean and big windows and nice and quiet.
